swine flu

Well it's official. Our three boys all have the swine flu. And they are MISERABLE. We're going on day six with this stuff and there is no end in sight. Adam and I are just keeping our fingers crossed that we don't get it as well. We are totally locked down here. One because we don't want to spread it, but also because it seems that all the fatalities where the child was not already immunocompromised, were because they contracted a bacterial infection on top of it. Right now I'm listening to Landon's hacking coughs coming from downstairs. The poor kids gets croup so easily so there have been a number of middle of the night steam showers when he wakes up wheezing and struggling to breathe. The frustrating part is that there are so many strains of it, our kids can just as easily get it again next week. My heart breaks for all those people who have lost loved ones to this horrible flu and we're giving thanks that our boys are doing as well as they are. Try to stay healthy this season....
