We love to be outdoors in the summer. Whenever Sonja comes to visit we like to take the kids hiking. This hike to Fall Creek Falls was a 2 mile trek, but it sure feels a lot farther with a toddler on your back! Seth clung to me the whole time. He isn't talking a whole lot yet but when I asked if he wanted to walk he would adamantly shake his head and then say. "Scared. Teddy bears." Poor thing was terrified of bears in the woods! Along the way they stopped to catch crawdads in the stream. It was fun until Sonja suddenly felt nauseous and had to quickly run to the bushes to vomit. She threw up at least three more times on the hike back. I felt awful for her. 
Sonja brought JulieAnna from Portland with her. She was worth her weight in gold while hiking!
